Morrisons: Bespoke Wirework
To display their freshly baked goods effectively and robustly, Morrisons required bespoke wire baskets that could withstand regularly daily use and a high product turnover.
The Challenge
- The wire display baskets needed to fit the existing store shelving.
- They had to be stackable, for easy transportation to stores.
- We had to complete full drawings and renders, as well as provide details such as cleaning methods, in order for the design to be signed off.
Our Solution
- We produced wire baskets that would sit discreetly within the Morrisons wicker baskets, and also be stackable.
- The wire baskets were given a sleek look, and coated in zinc plating for a clean and polished finish.
- We produced the baskets out of hardened steel wire and coated them to ensure they were food-safe.
The Results
- All the wirework was completed at our UK partner factory.
- We produced over 5,000 baskets within a four week period.
- The baskets were split into different store allocations at our facility and distributed directly to over 360 stores nationwide.
