Salary: £24,754.00

Working Pattern: Rotational 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday or 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday

The Role

We are looking for a Production Operative who has the ability to operate at a high standard of both quality and output. The Production Operative will be responsible for setting up and operating all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, to be able to fulfil works orders in a timely manner.

The job holder is expected to proficiently undertake the following tasks:

  1. To effectively operate Autogil, Rabolini, Peri saw and Bagging machines along with any other manufacturing machines in achieving maximum output with minimum yield losses whilst adhering to safety controls
  2. Ensure TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) checks are performed routinely, and any issues are reported in timely manner
  3. Ensure datastrip offcuts are cut down to agreed final length and kept in stock, minimising waste
  4. Ensuring SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) are in place & adhered to for all cross functional teams within the warehouse
  5. Maintain correct job timings & record accurately the amount of material consumed
  6. Maintain a clean, tidy & organised workspace
  7. Adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are correct to customers’ requirements
  8. Carry out in process checks, to ensure quality of parts produced are consistently acceptable.
  9. Be proactive in reporting process variances, machine/material defects.
  10. Ensure warehouse site safeguard on closing.
  11. Other appropriate duties may be required as instructed from time to time.

To carry out the duties above, the following skills, competencies and experiences are necessary:

  1. Good teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work
  2. Previous experience in a machining/warehouse environment
  3. A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to perform and control multiple tasks whilst under pressure and working to business-critical deadlines.
  5. A self- driven person with a positive outlook.
  6. Reliable, friendly, and hardworking.
  7. Forklift experience.
  8. Strong communicator, that enjoys working as part of a fast-moving team.
  9. Responsible, with the view to taking on more responsibility if job opportunities open up.
