Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Project Assistant to join our Sales team at Harrison.

As our Commercial Project Assistant, you will assist Project Managers with administrative tasks associated with project delivery and new customer on-boarding. We are looking for a candidate with excellent time management and organisational skills to assist with sourcing costs for live sales enquiries alongside the Project Managers.

Job Tasks

The job holder is expected to proficiently undertake the following tasks:

  1. Collaborate with Project Managers and the Purchasing team to source and obtain best costs for items/components.
  2. Assist Project Managers in completing tender and quoting documents.
  3. Take ownership of the administrative elements of projects that have been successfully won. This includes, but is not limited to:
    i. Processing sales orders.
    ii. Following-up internal and external stakeholders to progress open sales orders.
    iii. Creating and updating product and other records on the business ERP system(s).
    iv. Ensuring all required information is disseminated to relevant internal teams.
    v. Program and update the PM software.
    vi. Attend project progress meetings, following-up action points, and updating relevant parties as necessary.
  4. Take ownership of the administrative elements of on-boarding new customers to Harrison. This includes, but is not limited to:
    i. Planning the on-boarding in the PM software and updating accordingly.
    ii. Completing relevant internal and external documents.
  5. Completing other tasks as assigned by the Project Managers.
  6. Achieving personal goals that are set and agreed with your line manager.
  7. Participating in meetings and activities in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To carry out the duties above, the following skills, competencies and experiences are necessary:

  1. 2-3 years’ experience in customer-communicating administrative roles.
  2. Four or more GCSEs at a minimum of grade 4 or C including English and Maths.
  3. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

  1. Highly motivated and detail orientated.
  2. Solution driven mindset with good analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
  3. Keen to pick up new challenges and get ‘stuck in’.
  4. Ability to multitask with good time and project management skills.
  5. Strong planner with great organisation skills.
  6. A team player as well as the ability to work independently.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Experience in using Clickup, Asana or other similar Project Management software.
