About Us
Harrison is an international company positioned at the forefront of the POS and retail display industries. With teams based at our head office and logistics operations in Evesham, we offer a wide range of solutions for retail stores from POS components to innovative bespoke designs.
We believe in challenging the conventional and make sure to echo this in everything we do; from our sustainability campaigns to the way we support each other and work collaboratively. We also value the power of authenticity and lead by being transparent, taking responsibility as a business to ensure that the future of retail feels good.
The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Designer to join our expanding team, working to design cutting-edge POS and retail display products and concepts.
You’ll be a vital part of our innovation team, exploring new ideas and ‘ways of doing things’ to expand our current portfolio. Involved in all manner of design work, you’ll have the freedom to be creative and the opportunity to contribute both collaboratively and individually to the delivery of some incredible solutions. You’ll also work to project deadlines, provide clarity to other teams, and support the Product Design Lead with allocated project work.
Product testing will be a key part of your role to help ensure your designs are translated into high-quality products and you’ll also conduct store visits to our key retailers to gain a better understanding of requirements and carry out the testing. In addition, you’ll be tasked with creating CAD models, engineering drawings and presentations for visual purposes, and also creating or obtaining prototypes for testing and client demonstrations.
The Person
We’re looking for someone with a passion and flair for designing products who will go above and beyond both industry and customer expectations.
Ideally you’ll have experience working in product design or similar, although this isn’t essential. A degree or equivalent in Product or Industrial Design is essential, and you’ll need the confidence and initiative to bring forward your ideas and solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions. You’ll also need excellent teamworking skills, a collaborative mindset, self-motivation, and the ability to react and adapt flexibly to changes in project requirements.
A high level of proficiency in CAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and KeyShot is desired, along with the ability to organise and project manage your own workload.
